These replacement rubber eyecups are designed for eyepieces with a housing diameter of 31mm to 33mm on the eyepiece end (most standard Plossl eyepieces). The eyecup is simply pulled over into the eyepiece cup groove on the housing.
Eyepiece cups help prevent the penetration of lateral stray light and spectacle wearers can observe with glasses and the rubber prevents scratching of the glasses against the metal edge of the eyepieces.
