The follow focus gear ring for the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM is the most affordable way into a video setup with follow focus. The lens weighs only about 160 g, which suits small gimbals. With the gear you pull focus with a follow focus or motor instead of the narrow focus ring.
FAQ
Does it also fit the older EF 50mm f/1.8 II?
No, the II is built differently. This ring is made for the STM version.
