The Fotoszene GR project at the Bündner Kunstmuseum highlights the rich photographic heritage of Graubünden through a website, exhibitions, and a magazine. The inaugural exhibition and magazine issue focus on „Albert Steiner’s Heirs,“ honoring Steiner (1877-1968), who defined the region’s photographic image and set high technical standards. The project juxtaposes historical figures like Adolphe Braun and Andrea Garbald with contemporary photographers to explore traditions and differences in Graubünden’s photography. FOTO SZENE GR also questions the existence of a distinct photographic scene in the region and plans to launch a database as an information platform beyond the exhibition.
